I'm on my second Mk2.5 (the Mk2.5 was made from 2008 to 2011) 1.6Tdci and my driving pattern (75% motorway, 25% urban) results in a yearly average of 62mpg. To put that into perspective due to rush-hour traffic volumes my motorway speeds are a maximum of about 60-65mph and the urban parts 30mph or less. The weekly (specifically last week) high
Your oil change interval should be somewhere between 7500 and 10000 miles. The faulty sensor could have made the engine think it was operating under extreme conditions, so your oil change interval could be lowered to around 3000 miles. It's also possible there is a time component in that oil life calculation.
Oil change with Castrol magnetec and genuine ford filter each 15k miles (which I know is above the recommended 12.5k). Fuel injector nuts done up tighter when seals leaking - but seals not replaced. Runs a bit rough on start up when cold- suspect glow plug(s) . Last time I did the oil change I stripped the sump thread.
The recommended oil change interval for a Ford Mondeo varies depending on the model and engine type. The recommended oil change interval for Mondeo models with the 2.0-litre diesel engine is every 7,500 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first. While the recommended oil change interval for Mondeo models with the 2.5-litre gasoline engine is

The 1.6 TDCi diesel engine's belt should be replaced at least every 180,000 kilometres or 10 years, whichever comes first. Apparently, for cars built up to July 2011, the interval is 140,000km or 10 years. And yes, it's advisable to change the water pump at the same time. JW1982. There is no prescribed oil change interval for the B6 manual transmission. The B6 transmission is supposed to be filled for life. It is however not a bad idea to change the transmission oil when the car is between 1 to 3 Years old (when the internal parts of the transmission has bedded in). My experience is that after the transmission
Asked on 19 April 2022 by Qesar. Answered by Dan Powell. This engine uses a timing belt. I'd suggest changing it every 60,000 miles or five years (whichever comes first). If you don't have any history paperwork for the car then I'd assume it hasn't been done. Tags: timing belt timing chain.
Posted June 22, 2012. Yes it's fine, modern engines have come on so far in over the years and are built with certain tolerances. If it couldn't go 12,500 miles Ford would lower the interval. My Dad has a 1.4 Peugeot van and the interval on that is 20k! Quote.

For examples of the 1.6-litre TDCi engine made up to July 2011, the recommended interval is 140,000 kilometres or 10 years (as ever, whichever comes first). For 1.6 TDCi engines made after that date, the distance was upped to 180,000 kilometres (or 10 years, as before) and that's the interval that carries over to the newer 1.5-litre TDCi engine
It all began back in 2016, when I got a message on my brand-new Ford Focus TDCi Titanium centre display telling me that it was due for an oil change. I wouldn’t have minded, except that it was only on 5,500 miles and my official service points (set by my lease agent) are every 12,500 miles.
If the ‘Oil change required’ message is displayed in the instrument cluster before the published service interval, can the vehicle be used without an oil change? If the message is displayed the oil must be changed within 1,000 miles or 1 month (whichever occurs first) and the IOLM should be reset by your Ford dealer.

I do mine at 6k miles on a facelift 1.6tdci so yes I would recommend you do an oil and filter change now. Full service probably isn't necessary yet though, the fuel filters are expensive to change just for the sake of it. The turbo issues are not as frequent on the facelift but do still occur.
I started my timing belt change today on my 2008 90bhp 1.6TDCi. between the DPF pipe and the oil sump. Ford Model: Mk3 Focus 1.6 TDCI Titanium Navigator Ford
138. Ford Model: Focus 2.0 TDCI. Posted March 3, 2010. The focus belt change is definately 10 years/125k miles as stated on Ford Etis website and also as stated by ford dealers. The 2.0 tdci in the mk 2 focus is a Psa engine which is belt driven. Quote.
