Honda has 7w and 10w. One is clear and the other is red. I think ATF comes out to 5 or 7w, off the top of my head. My 88 called for ATF, but with progressive springs, it was WAY to thin. I went with 10W and that was the ticket. A Clymer manual lists the weights for the different years.

For xl-4 models onward (with abs) the righthand fork requires 538 cc while the lefthand fork requires 511 cc.
